Jen Harris
Poet Jen Harris is a Kansas City-based Spoken Word Poet, Women’s Rights and LGBT activist, published author, founder and host of KC Poetry Slam. She has won numerous poetry, activism and academic awards. She is currently finalizing her second book of poetry, a one-woman show, her first spoken word album, and a cross-country tour. She considers herself the ethnographer of a generation caught between tradition and technology and an artist who must educate patrons on the financial and emotional validity of her work.
