Charlotte Street Foundation identifies the needs and fuels the evolution of an ever-changing multidisciplinary arts ecosystem, acting as its primary provocateur. We cultivate the contemporary, the exceptional, and the unexpected in the practice of artists working in and engaging with the Kansas City Art Community
Zoe Chressanthis received her BFA in Illustration from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2016. Chressanthis includes the use of sculpture, film, animation, illustration, design, and sound in her current work. With these media she creates worlds of ambiguous and esoteric ecosystems.
“The destinations lay untouched by human form, only to be inhabited by an array of living, breathing flora and micro organisms. Places like, Dune Valley, Lunar Isles, Pink Desert Clouds, and Laguna Falls all manifest outlandish characters. These forms are tangible objects and while they are not figurative, they possess individual personas. I intend for viewers to be transfixed by such environments, while also encouraging their personal interpretations.”
