Iliann Alvarez
Iliann Alvarez is a recent graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute ceramics program. Her work centers on the idea of home, her childhood home in particular. She uses fabric to create intimate spaces and to symbolize the idea of home throughout her work, evoking her own memories. In combining ceramic objects with hand woven fabric, she allows the rigid material of clay to interact with soft material.]
