Charlotte Street Foundation identifies the needs and fuels the evolution of an ever-changing multidisciplinary arts ecosystem, acting as its primary provocateur. We cultivate the contemporary, the exceptional, and the unexpected in the practice of artists working in and engaging with the Kansas City Art Community
Rev. William Ellis Bradley is an electro-acoustic composer whose work consists of aural compositions attempting to elevate the spirituality of sound.
Bradley writes: “It is my belief that vibration is the language of the universe, an oft-overlooked communication that intermodulates time and space. To unveil this cosmic conversation, I build instruments powered by elements such as the sun, electro-chemical reactions, and the electricity of the human body. They act as receptacles to aid in the absorption and amplification of vibrations that we often fail to notice. My instruments become alchemical circles, transmuting one vibration into another. They allow the senses to unify. Thus, the world synesthetically neutralizes into an experience of audible vibration.”
