Heya!!! It’s Cat Mahari – dancer, choreographer, collaborator, and generally in search of free drinks and food artist!
Welp! I’m just a few months out from finishing my 2nd and final year as a CSF performing artist-in-residence. It’s been a grand and educational time. Fortunately, I’m not done yet!
This is what’s coming up:
Wylliams/Henry Contemporary Dance Company Spring Season, May 22nd and 23rd, White Recital Hall, UMKC. Yeah, I’m not dancing but I am blessed to be the community liaison for the company this season. I’m learning so much about organizing, and being graciously humble.
Hello Art/Midwest Innocence Project:
Solo-dolo! For an extraordinary fundraiser on behalf of the Midwest Innocence Project I’ll be presenting a *NEW* work, ‘Making of Monstrosity’, with original music composed by yours truly! The fundraiser is June 5th, 2015 at the offices of Oliver Berkowitz. Making of Monstrosity traces systemic trauma through haunting experiences of injustice and growth.
Like I said, this isn’t the end KC.
