Cat Mahari’s First Project of Artist Residency PREMIERE!!

First Project of Residency for Cat Mahari!!Cat Mahari (performing artist in residence 2014/15) premiere’s her FIRST FULL-LENGTH work “the floor”, an immersive theatre project intrigued with repetition as a critical component of transformation in love, partnership, and individual experience by weaving connected archetypes, motifs, and partnered movement from Latin, African, and European folklore and urban traditions in music, culture, and imagery.

Taking the idea of a party held in late night joints and bars, the floor draws on traditional influences for contemporary revelation!

Keep up with the process and collaborators by checking out tumblr: the floor

Premiers November 21st at The Luminary Arts Center, St. Louis, MO! Doors open at 6.30pm!
