Second Year resident Maegan Stracy is set to debut her Spring/ Summer 2014 collection at Fashion Week San Diego October 4th.
Stracy’s collection is focused on wearable garments inspired by streetwear trends and unique textures. Stracy incorporates everyday and unlikely materials like rubber, vinyl and water into her wearable garemtns. Each look features a mix of these materials with more wearable pieces like digitally printed shorts and vinyl pinnies.
Fashion Week San Diego is a week-long event featuring 26 emerging designers from all over the United States. FWSD is heavily focused on bringing industry professional to the designers. Buyers from big name stores like Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue will be attending, as well as scouts for Fashion Week Sydney Australia, and local and international press outlets.
Fashion Week San Diego will have a winning designer start up package determined by the audience. This package will include one on one business consulting and legal advice, a chance to design their own shoe for production, and start up cash.
To vote for Stracy please download the free Fashion Week San Diego app and vote for Maegan anytime between October 3rd and 6th.
