Charlotte Street Foundation identifies the needs and fuels the evolution of an ever-changing multidisciplinary arts ecosystem, acting as its primary provocateur. We cultivate the contemporary, the exceptional, and the unexpected in the practice of artists working in and engaging with the Kansas City Art Community

“My conceptual practice explores the fundamental aspects of human relationships through the construction of perfect, but slightly odd, vernacular architecture along with absurd actions that test the boundaries of our mutual trust. Through architecturally inspired sculpture, the home is constructed repeatedly, but never stably, appearing, for example, at different times on a pick-up truck, a motorbike and a small boat. The scale of the structures talks to intimacy, but always with a sense of impermanence and loss. Another recurring object is the Marquee, brightly lit but wordless and incongruously located.

My performance/video work explores unspoken sides of contemporary masculinity through carefully constructed, and often humorous exercises that require close physical proximity and mutual trust in order to complete safely. ”
